The award which was presented at an award ceremony at the Barnyard Theatre in Rivonia, South Africa was received by Mr William Simba Commercial Manager Cargo on behalf of Kenya Airports Authority.

“ Over the years Kenya Airports Authority in partnership with our cargo stakeholders have created  an unrivalled air cargo handling capacity in Africa of up to 1 million tons annually. This has made Jomo Kenyatta International Airport a formidable hub as a gateway to Eastern, Central and western Africa with worldwide connections. Consequently JKIA currently handles an excess of 400,000 tons of cargo annually, the highest cargo volumes handled in Africa, becoming a beacon in Africa for successfully embracing the concept of Pubic Private Partnerships.” Said Mr  William Simba on receiving the award.
This is the second Air Cargo Africa event that has been organized by STAT Trade Times, the first having been held in Nairobi Kenya last year. STAT Trade Times, popularly known as STAT TIMES (www.stattimes.com), is an Integrated International Transport Media specializing in Air Cargo since 1986.

The event was conceptualized to offer opportunities in the African market, as Africa is rapidly emerging as the preferred trade market with untapped growth opportunity.
