March 11, 2013: Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, was awarded the runner up position for best African Airport in the just concluded ‘STAT TIMES’ International Award for Excellence in Air Cargo 2013” that was held in Johannesburg, South Africa. The award which was presented at an award ceremony at the Barnyard Theatre in Rivonia, South Africa was received by Mr William Simba Commercial Manager Cargo on behalf of Kenya Airports Authority.
