KAA Celebrates Graduation of New Airport Rescue Firefighters

Nairobi, Kenya – April 11, 2025 — Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) proudly celebrated the graduation of its latest class of Airport Rescue Firefighters at the KAA Headquarters Grounds today. This significant milestone marks the successful completion of intensive training conducted by the KAA Training Academy, designed to equip firefighters with critical skills and knowledge to uphold safety across Kenya’s airports.

Following the footsteps of last year’s cohort of 25 firefighters, this year’s graduates further strengthen KAA’s commitment to maintaining world-class safety standards. The comprehensive training covered essential aircraft rescue and firefighting techniques, addressing both aviation and structural emergency scenarios to ensure readiness for any situation.

The graduation ceremony was honored by the presence of Hon. Caleb Kositany, Chairman of the KAA Board, who served as the Chief Guest of Honor. Other distinguished attendees included Dokers Chemo, Acting General Manager for Operations and Safety; Abraham Kipruto, General Manager for Marketing and Business Development; Dr. Rose Koros, Airport Manager at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, alongside other senior officials.
