Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) has stepped up its support for community health initiatives with a generous sponsorship towards the Mater Heart Run 2024.
The Mater Hospital announced the official launch of the Mater Heart Run 2024 this morning, with the event scheduled to take place on May 25, 2024, simultaneously across 10 counties. In a show of solidarity and commitment, KAA has pledged a sponsorship of KES 500,000 towards this year’s run.
The Mater Heart Run is a crucial fundraising event aimed at supporting children facing cardiac complications. Notably, the Mater Heart Fund has already made a significant impact, benefiting 5448 children from underprivileged backgrounds, providing them with the necessary support to lead normal, productive lives.
KAA’s commitment to the Mater Heart Run transcends financial support. Through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative and longstanding collaboration with Mater Hospital, the authority has organized Free Medical Camps in various parts of the country, including the most recent one held in Kilifi County. These camps have played a pivotal role in screening and identifying cardiac cases requiring assistance through the Mater Heart Run program.
As the Mater Heart Run 2024 draws near, KAA’s sponsorship serves as a beacon of hope for children in need, highlighting the organization’s unwavering dedication to making a meaningful difference in their lives.
